InterVarsity names Director of Youth Development

Dave Easton recently accepted a new, national role with InterVarsity: Director of Youth Development.

“I am delighted Dave is stepping into this role,” said Nigel Pollock, InterVarsity President. “He brings helpful expertise and experience that will advance our goal of becoming a more joined-up ministry that serves youth and young adults throughout their lives and particularly in the transition points.”

InterVarsity staff, through our camp, campus and workplace ministries, walk alongside young people from their childhood years through to young adulthood. In this role, Dave will focus on increased integration of InterVarsity’s ministry as well as on developing partnerships with churches and other faith organizations.

“I have a love for junior highs, high school students and launching young adults. I love supporting wider Kingdom growth and helping to break down silos,” said Dave, reflecting on the potential of the role.

For the past three years, Dave has served as Program Director for Pioneer Camp Ontario, one of InterVarsity’s nine camps in Canada. That role combined his passion for reaching children and youth for Jesus with his love of coaching and equipping teams of people. Prior to Pioneer, Dave pastored four churches, the last of which was in Winnipeg, MB, where he also chaired the Manitoba Youth Worker Network. Dave is currently a coach with the Arrow Leadership Program and part of the leadership team of the Today’s Teens conference.
