Sharmaine Tay

“Sharmaine is passionate about working with high school students, walking alongside them as they ask questions about who God is. She works with students in various different parts of her life: as a full-time teacher and also part of the High School Ministries staff.

As a teacher and minister, she is so excited to see the gospel at work in Calgary’s schools. Empowering Christian students to lead from a place of love and grace as they encounter all the diverse perspectives in the world is a long-time goal of hers. Her hope is for teachers and students to be impacted by God in schools everyday.

She enjoys singing, painting, and worshipping the Lord out in nature. A verse she loves is: 2 Corinthians 6:10 – “Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.”
