Steven Roy

Staff since 2025. Steve enjoys having fun and playing games with students. His heart beats with a strong desire to see all students at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay come to know Jesus and begin relationship with Him.
His desire is to have a Christian student community that is as welcoming as humanly possible. Steve has a heart for lonely students and those on the outside and fringes of social circles.
Steve is now into his second decade of marriage with his beautiful wife, Andrea. He has 2 wonderful kids with special needs and is passionate about helping students with ADHD, Down Syndrome and Autism find their place in community.
Steve loves learning biblical Greek and his strengths lie in kindness and discipleship. Steve is a builder. He loves building programs and structures to help students grow in their walk with Jesus, and apply scripture to their lives.
Steve grew up in the golden age of Nintendo and loves playing games of all kinds. Steve loves the outdoors and enjoys taking time away from it all in secluded places.
Steve takes joy in John 5:19, where Jesus only did what he saw the Father doing.
