Melissa Chettle

Melissa ministers to Graduate Students and Faculty at the University of Alberta. She is passionate about students encountering Jesus in tangible and personal ways. Having had experience with undergraduate students and international students she has a heart for students, and faculty to see their time on campus as an opportunity see God at work transforming them, their peers and the academy to reflect him to the world.
She loves that on campus, every member of the community shares their unique gifts, passions and cultures – which influence how they follow Jesus and live out the gospel. For Melissa, there is nothing like seeing the way a young person’s life lights up as they grow in their understanding of Jesus.
She enjoys rock climbing and anything outdoors. With a background in kinesiology, she is passionate about wellbeing. Melissa is pursuing a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) part-time. An influential Bible passage in her life is Mathew 6:25-34.
