Kim Nguyen-Stone

Kim’s InterVarsity journey began in 2004 during her student days at the University of Alberta, where her faith was ignited by studying Scripture with an Asian-Canadian fellowship. She followed Jesus’ invitations to lead on campus and at Alberta Pioneer Camp, participate in global missions overseas, and intern with InterVarsity in Vancouver, BC. Kim served as a campus minister at Emily Carr University of Art + Design for 12 years, and also worked at Pioneer Pacific Camp as an LIT (Leaders-in-Training) program leader and Head Cook.
Kim is passionate about cultural identity and God’s beautiful purposes for all nations. As InterVarsity aims to help young people discover Jesus, our communities can be places where people of all cultures flourish and feel at home with Christ. Kim provides Biblical vision and practical tools to help InterVarsity’s staff and students grow in their inter-cultural skills and witness. Vancouver is home to Kim and her husband Dave (InterVarsity’s BC Director), along with their children Raphaela, John, and Moses. Kim is a food and comedy nerd, and enjoys creating custom cakes and felt art.
