World Student Day of Prayer

Each year, IFES World Student Day unites thousands of students across the globe in 48 hours of prayer. This year, on October 18th, students, staff, and supporters from over 150 countries will join together to pray for students worldwide and celebrate all that God is doing through local IFES ministry in the world’s universities.

Ways to host prayer on World Student Day

Want to host a prayer event, but don’t know where to start? We got you! Pick and choose from the options below and get inspired to dream up what prayer can look like in your local setting.

Here’s one example of how it could come together

  • Book a study room on campus for 3 hours
  • People can drop in to pray for Students to find Sanctuary in Christ
  • Set up 2 self-guided stations:
    • local student focus: write down personal prayer requests and pray for local needs together
    • global student focus – NIFES: print out prayer cards (see button below) and images of student groups from Nigeria (look them up on socials!). Spend the last 30 minutes of your event leading worship in English and Yoruba.

✨ Don’t forget to post and tag InterVarsity Canada so that we can repost you! ✨
