Sanjana Needs A Friend Podcast
Teaser
Curious what this podcast is all about? Take 3 minutes and find out! You might become Sanjana’s friend!
Dave and Sanjana kick off their friend-finding adventure by talking to Alex (Pioneer Camp – Pacific), Vanessa (Highschool – Calgary), and Ben (“Accountant”, a.k.a. CFO). They attempt to answer every InterVarsity staff’s favourite question – “so, what is it you actually do for work?”. Ben feels forgotten by his boss, Alex forgets which podcast he’s on, and Vanessa learns how not to say “Sanj”.

After the success of their first episode, Sanjana and Dave continue looking for friends in InterVarsity. Their search leads them to questions about the right way to say “garage”, how to make sure everyone has a toothbrush, and what hospitality EVEN IS in a world where we must stay 2 metres apart! Thankfully, this week’s new friends have some great answers – these folks really know how to go the extra mile… and then some!

In episode 3 of our Staff podcast, Sanjana and Dave talk to 3 InterVarsity staff from non-Evangelical backgrounds. As an organisation that aims to serve Christians from all traditions, and to share the good news of Jesus with not-yet-believers, our largely homogenous, Evangelical Protestant make-up can functionally thwart our best, theoretically-sound efforts. Ashley, Vera, and Archi share their stories of being “a minority within a minority”, negotiating faithfulness, leadership, and circumstance, and learning to be okay with not having all the answers. They also share some practical tips for how our community can capitalise on the varied perspectives found on our own team to further God’s Kingdom in relevant ways.
