Wrangler

The Wrangler reports to the Horsemanship Director, works on a team with another Wrangler, and in the summer months will provide leadership to the teenage barn staff. In May and June, the responsibilities of the wrangler include horse care, training horses to get them ready for children to ride them, and leading trail rides for retreat groups.  In July and August, the work includes horse care, teaching riding lessons to groups of children, and leading pony rides (for younger campers) and trail rides (for older campers).   Like all staff, the wrangler will participate in the spiritual life of the camp through participation in staff devotions and summer campfires, and may be asked to jump in to help in other areas of camp from time to time.
