Help Send 2,000 Canadians to Urbana
In six months, 16,000 students will gather for Urbana 18. We have a big goal: to send 2,000 Canadians. We were thrilled to learn that the very first registrant for this Urbana was a Canadian!
Urbana continues to be our best launching ground for sending young people into mission – both local and global. This Urbana will be particularly powerful because we will study the Book of Revelation. Imagine 16,000 students grasping the truth that King Jesus is seated on the throne. Imagine them being called out of the North American temptation of lukewarm faith and into bold, passionate witness!
As Canadians, we have a special connection to the Urbana 18 Bible expositor. Brazilian René Breuel is a seminary graduate of Regent College in Vancouver. He attended Urbana 06 as a student and is now planting a church in Rome. We are eager for students to learn from him.
It takes a great effort to send 2,000 Canadians to Urbana but we are convinced it is worth it. This year we’ve launched an Urbana Ambassador program across Canada to help us promote the conference in churches and other student organizations. To become an Ambassador, email [email protected].
Right now, we really need your financial help. In order to recruit, prepare and send 2,000 Canadians to Urbana, we need to raise $210,000. If each person receiving this letter gave $200, we would reach our goal. Please consider a gift today.
