FROSH WEEK
Pray for the high school interns who arrive in Winnipeg today to start their 9 months with Scott Gerbrandt, Campus Ministry Dir., Mid-West. Pray for learning, challenge, growth and great contact with high school students.
Pray for Undergraduate Student Ministry interns as they arrive in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Montreal.

Please pray for the leadership team at UVic as they meet over the Labour Day weekend for their student leadership camp. Pray for shared vision for the campus as we want to both disciple the Christian students and reach out to the non-Christian students.

Pray for David Boyle, USM, as he begins to minister in the Saint John area on the campuses of UNB - Saint John, NBCC Saint John, and Saint John College. Pray that he will get the support needed to minister effectively, and that the posting he leaves behind (Associate Pastor of St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Quispamsis) will experience a smooth transition. Pray that the student executives will welcome this change and grow in ministry and service together with David on the campuses of Saint John.

Labour Day
Pray for all the new students moving into their residence halls for the first time. Ask God to help them connect with floor mates, find peace in chaos and enjoy their first week.

Pray for our high school staff as they begin another year of serving in high schools. Pray that the relationships they form will have consequences for a lifetime of growth in their students. Pray for Joel and Ken as they start their first year on staff in Wolfville.

September 8-10 is the cabinet meeting. The members of the cabinet are: Larry Offner, VP Inter-Varsity Pioneer Camps, Al Anderson, VP Campus, Kim Evans, VP Advancement and Geri Rodman. Pray for discussions and decisions that will be made of behalf of the fellowship.

Pray for Kelsi McGillivray as she takes on the role of Student President of the USM at U of Regina; that the plans we are making would be empowered by the Holy Spirit and that the planned monthly large group events would have a spiritual impact on the campus.

USM Kick-Off BBQ at the U of Regina. Pray for a great turnout of first year students and that they would commit to attending weekly Bible studies.

Pray that students who participate in GPs and UPs this summer transition back smoothly, that their communities are ready to learn what God wants to teach and that they take bold risks in application- both personally and as a community on campus

Pray for student leaders, that as the year kicks off they would experience deep partnership with each other and God and that He would grow their vision for the kingdom coming on campus, that people would boldly invite and pursue God’s with joy.

Pray for the first-year ministry team, that they would engage first years creatively and with deep love, inviting Christian and non Christian students to come and see Jesus in community.

Pray God’s leading and wisdom for plenary speaker Rev. Dr. Brenda Salter-MacNeil as she prepares to address the theme of Witness in a Multi-Cultural Context.

Remember Amy Dempsey directing and ask that the Holy Spirit would direct Marion Lee (husband, Morley former OPC executive director) as she speaks on the transformation that God brings within us through His Holy Spirit. (“The Great Exchange”).

For those who do not yet know Jesus to hear him, recognize Him as Lord, and respond to Him in faith: that they would see the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus.

That God would provide richly with new partners and resources that Inter-Varsity might grow its ministry across the country.
